the blog world is one, big confusing mass of talent and exciting new artists...i get exciting seeing recent and interesting work from loads of artists whose work i really admire, but rarely do i get that feeling of real excitement after discovering a true gem. so, i'd like to introduce you to sarah ahearn, an artist from ithica, new york. i stumbled upon sarah after clicking a thumbnail of her work in someone else's 'favourites' section on flickr. i was immediately in love with her colour, style and line. so cheerful and uplifting! whimsical, but not sickly sentimental and truly, truly beautiful.
sarah's just starting out on this blogging and promoting lark, she admits she's not a 'computer gal' but has taught herself the basics to help promote her work and she's doing brilliantly well on that front...she's just opened her etsy shop and she has a fabulous set of her paintings on her flickr page. she also has a lively portfolio of work on artid. also, have a peek at her blog paper crown press.
