giveitaway, giveitaway, giveitaway, yeah!

well, hello! well, i'm back from the delights of portugal...it was great fun sprinkled with some challenging moments (arth was ill as i feared, and quite grumpy for the first few days) but it also had some amazing moments (travelling by speedboat and watching dolphins was a highlight, but der, i forgot to take my camera)

so there i was today, printing my little socks off to get my lovely orders organised, when i was half way through i realised i'd used the wrong colour green in my avenue print (i used leaf instead of apple) which means i've got two pieces in a colour i don't sell in the shop. it's been a while since i had a giveaway, so i thought i'd offer two my lovely blog readers a chance to win them - seriously limited edition, man! so to have a chance, just leave a comment below - and in the spirit of holidays and channelling my inner hairdresser - answer this question: "are you going anywhere nice this year?" ok? good luck! i'll draw it monday morning after i've taken frank to school.

Lovely fabric! I plan to go on a summer holiday to Sweden and bicycle all the way along an old train track whilst enjoying the delights of the beautiful country.

Fantastic! I'm a secret lurking fan...

I am attending a wedding in Escanaba, Michigan. It's in the Upper Peninsula, and should be absolutely beautiful in July. Lots of green.

I am jealous that Owls go hoot is going to sweden, as my trip away this year will probably be a toned down occasion. Never the less I hope to spark some romance with my boyfriend and do a bit of a tour in Britains B&B's. I would love to go back to aberdovey where I used to go as a child and perhaps a night or two in Bournmouth!

Love the prints btw, apple green looks pretty crisp!

I've used up all our money, annual leave and energy in a fabulous honeymoon a couple of months ago so and getaways this year will be close to home - perhaps a nice spot of camping

*sigh* I'd love to travel around Europe... but alas, I'm stuck in Ohio, USA... but not for long! We're going to Niagra Falls (Canadian side) this weekend! Its a special trip for our 5 year wedding anniversary. I'm pretty excited, I've never visited there before!
Then mid-june we're heading out to California to visit friends near LA - again, never been!

LOVELY fabric btw! Love your shop!

Ooo it's a very pretty colour!

We're going to Wales in September - staying in a glorious 16th century farmhouse owned by the Landmark Trust. A pile of books, some badminton rackets and a few bottles of wine should be enough for a fun-packed week :)

Oooh, lovely fabric! Sadly, I won't be going anywhere nice this year as we are saving up to go to our friends' wedding in Cyprus next year. We may stretch to a night or two camping in the New Forest though :-)

love that pink house! what a great shot. nice to have you back old bean.

the isle of wight, a big ramshackle old house with about a million children. then a small quiet villa in menorca, just us. i know which one i'm looking forward to the most.

cut & blow-dry madam?

eeeh, well we theoretically aren't 'going away' because in September I will be giving up my job to go to Medical School at the ripe old age of 26. This means that for the next five years, tuition fees, mortgage, travelling (Edinburgh to Glasgow) and living all have to come from my savings (once known as the wedding fund-hah!) and my boyfriends earnings. Eeek!

HOWEVER, next week me and him will have been together for ten years. Which doesn't happen every day. So the plan is to scoot off to the Highlands- despite living in Scotland my whole life I've never properly experienced them- roughing it for the beginning of the week and then staying in a swish hotel at the end of the week, for one last night of decadence before the voluntary poverty begins! I hope to see fierce seas, deserted glens and purple mountains, thanks :o)

green. did you say GREEN? you do know how I feel about green don't you? why it's all green and lovely, and green. I like green. can you tell? so I'm packing up the tot and I, and heading oop Norf almost as far as you can go and still be in Britain, to sunny (hopefully) Orkney. To stay on a farm, feed the aminals, also go dolphin watching, pootle round some rock pools, check out the surprisingly secret but excellent contemporary craft scene they have up there, those sorts of things... did I say by the way I like green? I do rather.

It's beautiful! Wonderful print, gorgeous color...as for traveling, my only plans right now or the visit family in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Not super exciting, but fun nonetheless. :)

Love your stuff! Nothing too exciting for us. Just a trip home to MN and WI for us too. REALLY looking forward to hitting the lakes, I mean, seeing family and friends.

so glad i stopped by this morning, we're being very brave and taking the small people to their first music festival - camp bestival in dorset! (brave or mad not sure yet!) & will try to fit in (another) trip to lake como this year before my oldest starts school this year

Depends on your definition of nice. We are staying a week at the Jersey Shore. Me, not being a beach person, thinks this is not the best vacation idea, but the rest of the family will be happy. And while they are burning, sticky and covered in sand, I will be back at the house alone, in solitude, to nap, internet, read and just relax. So, yeah, I suppose even the shore can be nice.

Love the leaf green! We are heading off to New Zealand for two weeks on 14 June. As we live in the tropics and it will be mid winter there I am excited about the prospect of my 3 1/2 year old seeing snow for the first time - I think it will be more than nice, especially since we haven't had a real "holiday" since 2002.

Lovely fabric!

We've already taken our big trip of the year - 2 weeks in Japan and Hawaii. We're planning another trip to San Diego around the end of the month. We don't usually have the opportunity to travel this much, but I am loving it!

Lovely fabric! We're not off anywhere this year as our eldest is moving up to secondary school so we are having to fork out for extortionately expensive new uniform! We'll just have nice days out instead.

I would LOVE that fabric! Oh boy! I live in the US and my travel plans aren't much this summer ... we are traveling to Michigan (I live in Ohio) to stay in my grandparent's cabin on a lake for a week. Not much excitement, but it's sure to be relaxing.

oh how exciting!
well, i just came back from a trip to tahoe. it was very nice & relaxing. that is about the extent of traveling i will be doing this year. but then again i always go to nice places even if they are just in my town:]

i just discovered your blog/work last week, and i must say i absolutely love your fabric!

i'm not going anywhere too awfully exciting - poor college student and such. i live in the ozarks, missouri, and hopefully my family will be able to take a trip to florida over the christmas/new years holidays and my husband and i can tag along. florida is extra exciting, because it where all of my family that i know, sans mom/dad/grandpa, live - and they're all amazing. therefore, florida becomes extra nice. :)

Wowza, OK well in the slim chance I might win some limited edition fabric, here are my holiday plans:

Clacton,
caravan,
5 teacher friends.

Should be interesting. Mini golf anyone? And a quick pop quiz on mental arithmatic?

I have done the same thing when I have been screenprinting and also when I have been painting - sometimes a mistake can turn out ok and sometimes it doesn't. We are going to Sussex again this year - we went for the first time last year and really enjoyed it. One of the highlights was a visit to Charleston; the house where the Bloomsbury set used to meet. Apparently they have some new fabrics this year so looking forward to going there again and checking these out.

Emily said...

Wow - I love that green! And so do a lot of people above - maybe you should think about selling it?

I'm off to Cornwall camping this summer, having had a couple of weeks in America with a week travlling through New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada.
