flower quilt, a little bit more...

so, the flower quilt (amazing name needed, any ideas? was thinking 'summersville spring'...) went together with surprising ease and very quickly. i was a bit ambitious to begin with, i thought i'd make it 5 x 5 (making 25 blocks) but really, what was i thinking? 3 x 3 is plenty big enough, especially with a rather marvellous piano key style border (will show pictures when quilted) this would be especially sweet in a little girl's bedroom, on the wall or made bigger for a single bed - it's quite modern and punchy. i'm really happy with how it turned out and can't wait to see it quilted! poor mum is getting seriously overworked, but i think she's enjoying the challenge, secretly ;)

Like 'Summersville Spring' for a name for a wonderful quilt - it would be a lucky little girl who got that in her bedroom!! Looking forward to seeing the quilting!

Beauty! How about Summersville Spray if you wanted a floral term? Spring's very cute though x

That's so pretty, love those flowers. Naming your stuff can be tricky can't it, usually though they tend to name themselves.

Looking good and I love the idea of a piano key 'style' border, the fabrics are working well, you should be really please.
Sorry I can't think of another name for you but like Summersville Spring (the only alternatives would be bouquet or posy)
I look forward to seeing it quilted

Love it, especially the use of black - makes the colours and patterns really pop out. Er, name suggestion... Summersville Pop Flowers?
