naughty naughty

oh my goodness, three weeks??? wow, i'm sorry. i haven't really felt like there's been that much to report really, but here are some pretty snippets of what's been going on in my world lately...

lots of tidying and putting up of pictures, mirrors and plates on the wall - 20 minute jobs that have been waiting FOREVER to be done. my next job is to move some furniture around in my bedroom to make it easier to actually put away my clothes rather than dumping it around in piles...

i'm currently making another solids quilt. it's slow progress but i'm looking forward to getting stuck into it this weekend.

i went for a walk across the fields on wednesday and i couldn't resist taking this photo - i felt very insignificant under that enormous sky!

at last! those mirrors i've been collecting are up on the wall!

junk shop trunks & suitcases

vintage plates & letters from a 1960's shop sign in the dining room

i have actually been stitching

couldn't resist these in the charity shop

across the fields, we're known around here for
being very flat with big skies

I have to wonder if it's the most flat place in England. I didn't know such a place existed over there (hahaha!)

Lucie you have the very coolest charity shops in your area! You always seem to find the coolest items. Nice big skies pic too - love your part of the UK.

I've been visiting my parents in the very flat fens this weekend, and the sunsets have been beautiful. But, I don't miss those really sad grey days of winter where the whole of the sky right down to the flat land is grey and depressing- i used to say it looked like a gigantic wok lid had been placed over the land, and we were stuck inside!
