today was spent quilting the sort-of-improv piece. i decided on a very organic grid in lots of different colours & just pretty much quilted it to death with straight lines. i've been wanting to quilt like that for ages, i love grids and lines, but nothing i've done lately really suited that very modern look til this came along. so here are your peeks of the quilt on the machine...tomorrow, binding & hopefully an image of the completely finished quilt!

WOW it's amazing!!! can't quite actually express how totally fantastic this is, it's so different - I am a pattern addict so don't have much plain fabric, this quilt makes me want to start collecting solids! wonderful. :)
Wowsers! Totally love this. Was talking to a fabric-loving friend about how amazing its development was last week and have pointed her to your blog. Totally inspiring.
Awesome!!
You have flown through this! You really couldn't have quilted it any other way. Good luck finishing.
Just amazing ~ love it!
Lu, that's just going to be gwageous!!
Oh my goodness, Lucie, this is absolutely stunning! The colors, the design, the quilting. I love it!
That's a hell of a lot of quilting!
