so, we took the quilt off the machine yesterday to do some unpicking (not much thankfully) and pegged it up onto a handy curtain rail above the window in mum's dining room (there are no curtains yet, she's just moved in!) i loved how the quilt glowed with the sun streaming through the window and made the quilting pinpricks stand out like little lights...small things please and amuse :)
...and today, mum finished the quilting! big fanfare! it looks great but needs a press - it's a little bit puffy in the wrong places at the moment. i didn't take any pics of it at this stage, i had to rush out of the door to pick up the boys. but we're getting there! binding tomorrow, will take pics!
