although i really, really would like a print gocco, it is rather limiting in size, and all those extra bit and bobs you have to have...anyway whilst trawling the net for some art supplies, i stumbled upon 'art discount', a fantastic art goods suppliers and they had this permaset screen printing ink. it's rather marvelous because it's eco-friendly, completely water based, and you can use it on fabric or paper for screen printing or block printing. for me, perfect. so i treated myself to every colour, and this morning set to work in my jim-jams. (because i couldn't wait, what a surprise.) inspired by my red 'plant life' in the last post, i played around with the 'scarlet' on various media. the best results were on photocopy paper (typical) and this lovely flecked oatmeal cotton. (the design is a really old screen from a million years ago, but a great background for all those layers i plan on building up!) next job: making more screens and playing around with all these lovely colours...does life get any better than this?

I am doin' the jim-jams thang this morning too - it's the best way to work!
How are the Permaset inks to work with? The colour looks good. They arrived quickly too.
lucie, it took me long enough, but i finally filled out my random 8 facts for you! i am always late.
seems being creative in one's pyjamas is a common theme – I wrote a blog post about it last night. Its the best way to work. Why does a shower and getting dressed change one's mood so?
