oh!
i went for a walk into town with my friend amy today and i decided to have a quick rummage in the 3 charity shops...my favourite one that is super-cheap was disappointing this morning and so i wasn't holding up much hope for the sue ryder one, which is usually a bit of a dead loss. BUT!!! lo and behold, there was this gorgeous piece of gorgeousness sitting on the shelf - designed by jessie tait for midwinter, it's called country garden and was designed in the 1960's. this particular pattern was manufactured for 10 years, between 1968 and 1978. amy *hated* it and couldn't believe i was spending good money on something so foul. while i was grinning from ear to ear, having paid just 3 quid. result!

Ooh, it's fab. Wish I could find one of those for three quid.
a FIND my love x a find!
Oh oh oh!! That is fantastic :)
That is really lovely. Great buy!!
I'm with you - that is a find, and a gorgeous one at that. Midwinter designs are fabulous.
it is such a fine line between *hate* and *love* in the charity shops, I find. knowing your own mind helps, and I am often rather unsure. Taking things away from the context of the charity shop also makes things clearer- i often look at gorgeously photographed purchases of yours, arranged with one or two toning items, and think "i'd have walked straight past that in St Columba's!"
really lovely find. i like the pattern and colours.
