winner 1: fat eighth bundle |
winner 2: layer cake |
winner 3: charm pack |
can i also say a massive thank you to everyone who comments on my blog - i really appreciate the encouragement and lovely things people say about my work. it's truly humbling whenever i receive a message telling me that i inspire people - that just feels amazing. thank you.
so, enough of that sentimental claptrap, you're here for the giveway, aren't you!
simple rules, 3 prizes.
anyone can enter from all over the world.
to have one chance at the cherry, simply leave a comment telling me what you would call your very own debut fabric collection.
to have another nibble, follow this blog and then leave a comment telling me you have done so.
if you'd like to follow me on twitter (i'm @lusummers) please do so and tell me, that will count as chance number 3 to win!
(please note: i have had a few people in the past letting me know they've found it difficult to leave comments for me, so i've disabled the moderation thingy and you no longer have to fill in the weird word box doo-dah either, so it should be super easy now)
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to leave your email address. if i have to search for you in more than 3 clicks, i'll choose another winner.
you have until midday (BST) next monday, april 2nd to leave your comments and the winners will be announced in the afternoon. or whenever i've actually got time that day :)
winner 1 will receive a fat eighth bundle - that's a fat eighth of all 27 prints.
winner 2 will receive a layer cake which has 42 ten inch squares.
winner 3 will receive a charm pack which is made up of 42 five inch squares.
GOOD LUCK!

I stalk you on Twitter and have RT'd your giveaway.
I have you on my blog roll if that counts.
I retweeted!
If I had a debut collection I would call it 'Hexaculture' or 'Solidarity'

Would love to get my grubby hands on some Lu.
It'll be a sell out!
Xx
I love your new line! If I had a new line I would call it scrap prints because I love a huge mix of prints.
And.....a Twitter stalker. I wont lie, I will be a full paing purchaser of your fab fabric a no matter what, but some for free would be delightful!
I am a new follower, I just came across your blog and look forward to reading it more.
ohh forgot to answer the Q!
"simple" - because it would be..............
I already follow your lovely blog!

My fabric line would be called Simply Scandi,, even though I'm American I love all things Scandinavian!
This is dogone awesome, Lu and is bound to be a humungous hit all over the globe! If I was so lucky as to have a line of fabrics printed it would have to be called Yellow Greys (ask Katy!)
i'd call it "cavaliera"
I follow you!
I would call it raspberry ripple just because it sound so nice.
Thank you for the chance to win some of your fab collection.
I follow you here

I'd have to say if I ever designed a fabric I'd have to say it would involve my favorite vacation spot: Sage Lake! Lots of memories and the fabric would instill that memory. My mind is flowing right now on what it would look like - thanks I never even would have thought about it. Thanks for the chance.
I follow you through Google and my RSS Feed. This fabric line has so many possibilites. It will work perfect for everything under the sun. Great job, love it. Thanks for the chance!
I would call my first fabric line "Debut"!!
I'm a new follower! Your work is beautiful and inspiring as is your lovely blog!
I think I would call it "Call it a day", as a good procrastinator myself. And it will include lots of colours, as a good daltonic person with no taste for colour-mixing.

oooh There you go I'm following you on twitter @ladypennyjane

What a a generous giveaway so soon after you received all that fabric-y wonderfulness! If I had a debut collection I'd be very uninventive and name it Nellie's Niceties, after our blog which we set up as a tribute to my Nan. It would be fabulous to have a fabric range named in her memory!
I love these prints, I particularly want to get my hands on the grid and what looks like the text pieces. Well done these are brilliant!
Hmmm, what would I call my fabric line, probably "comfy nostalgia"
Just in case I am more than 3 clicks my email is ladypenelopejane[at]gmail.com
I follow your blog too now :-)
finally, I follow you on twitter and am just off to retweet :-)
I would probably name my line "Sapling" as a play on my initials (SAP). One day maybe!
I'm rubbish at naming things - whatever I called the range I would regret it later!
I'm a follower of your blog!
I love this collection - it is brilliant. Congrats!

I don't know how to do twitter, so only 2 entries for me.
How tricky to think of a line for fabric if I have not already made it! I guess I will just go with the little bit I have already done with spoonflower
"Land Maps"
Sharon would want me to give a nod to her fox collection with
"Day in the life of a fox"
I am following you blog too!
Beautiful fabric, Lu!

1. Love your low contrast print - wish they were out earlier.
2. "More cat prints?" is what my line would be called.
I love your fabric! If I had the talent to design a fabric line I would probably call it " the pink duck". Why? Because I can :-)
Thank you, I follow your blog.
I follow you on Twitter too. In a non-stalking kind of way.
I love your graphic prints!! I'm not a fabric designer and am pathetic at thinking up clever names for things - but I guess I can follow the rules and make something up. 'summer Sorbet
Following on twitter now, too!
I'm following you on Twitter!
I have been a blog follower for a few months. Thanks for the chance to win!
I think if I were lucky enough to have a debut fabric line it would have to called "Beginner's Luck". I'm really looking forward to your fabric collection hitting the stores!!
i think my fabric line would be "circle gets a square" both b/c it's funny and b/c i use lots of circles and squares in my designs...
rispok at gmail dot com

A name for my own fabric line, hmmm!
I think my first line of fabric would have to do with nature so maybe I would call it "All natural" I am not good with coming up with names.
i'd call my debut line - "Huggle" and if it wasn't illegal, i'd stick a camera in your home and watch you like EastEnders.
Oh what a fantastic giveaway! those prints are amazing. If (when?!) I design a range of fabric it would be called Patternista. my email is rainbowvintagehome@googlemail.com. I already follow your blog, but haven't got my head around twitter at all! x

If I had a textile collection I'd call it 129 Twig and Vine.
I love your work and recommended it to Quilted Threads in New Hampshire. They carry Moda and I HOPE they will carry Summerville.
My email is Sue.Schlabach@myfairpoint.net
There's very little chance of me ever designing my own fabric range (I can't draw a straight line with a ruler!) so I would call it 'Long odds' or 'Outside chance'...not only can I not draw I can't think up good names for fabric lines either!
Such a generous way to celebrate your first (of many!) fabric line, thank you - I follow your blog!
My very own debut fabric line? Oooo I think I'd call it The Doxie-Dog Collection (it would be all about dachshund/sausage/weiner dogs!!) Thanks for the chance to win. amysalbums2004[at]yahoo[dot]com

My own fabric line? That's a fun though. I would love design something with a nod to my birth country and to a great composer, so I would call it: Hungarian Rhapsody No.20

I'm a flower... Oops follower.
Mmmm I'd call it snow-drift
I follow your blog.
Lovely! If I designed my own fabric, I'd call it "Corbin" because that's the baby name I love and that my hubby nixed.

Ms.michelle22(at)gmail(dot)com
If I had my own fabric debut...i'd name it Up a Creek...a nod to both how i'd feel at the time (overwhelmed!) and at growing up around creeks and riverbeds.
My fabric line would have to be called "Arroyo Chamiso". It's my street name and I just love the way it sounds.
I follow blu-shed on google reader and love love love these fabrics!
I follow via google reader.
If I had to choose a name for a line of fabric, it would be something generic like "floral" or something because I've never thought about what it would look like. yours is awesome though!

I follow you in my Google Reader :)
I'm a follower! I've always loved your stuff!
I'd call my line "anything goes." simply because I'd want it to consist of basics and colors that go with anything!
I think I'd have to call my fabric line something like..."I made this?!" (because I would be so surprised at myself), or "heart bursts" (because that is what I imagine my own heart would if I had my own fabric line). Doesn't sound very pretty though!
Such a beautiful collection, I hope you are very proud of yourself!
gracie_p@msn.com
Good morning! What an amazing prize.... although you should probably get some fabric to your Mama straightaway!! I would name my debut fabric collection Green Giraffe. It's my sweet middle son's favourite (mythical) animal. Thanks for sharing!

I've been reading your blog for some time now, but not sure I've ever commented before, your competition has drawn me out!
If I had my own fabric line,I think right now an apt name would be Chicken Run, since I spent a lot of my day today chasing my chickens with my toddler, and I spend a lot of time running about like a headless chicken!

Having never considered designing fabric (I'm too busy drooling over all the beautiful ones out there!!), I have no idea what to call a line... Maybe I'd try something to do with my darling girlie (8months old), as I want to sew all kinds of gorgeous stuff for her! Sunshine Girl? Happy Abby? :)

whoops email is: sarah@guerilla-embroidery.com
xx
What a bloody palaver - looks like my friend dave was still signed in when I left those comments. You can count all 3 as one entry! DOH
I'm a follower
I guess it would depend on the theme of the fabric. If I did a dog theme fabric I would probably name it after my dog and call it "Q*bert's Quandaries" or "Q*bert's Quirks", but I have a feeling those might be difficult names for people. Especially since people think his name is Hubert when I introduce him, but I really like names that start with "Q". If I did a geometric print (which is more likely) then I would call it "Geometric Therapy".
Really loving the black and white top print on the top of the bundles and I'm sure the rest is just as cool!
alibear167 at gmail
I've RT'd your giveaway tweet.
I'm a new follower!

I would LOVE to win any of these three delicious prizes! I've been waiting patiently for your line, and have a few pieces of your handprinted fabric in my stash!
I'm not sure what I'd call my own line of fabric, but since my first name is pretty unique, it would be fun to do something with that. My flickr name has my name backwards (my flickr name is missyecaj), but I doubt people would know how to pronounce that!
